Fall Family Mini Sessions - What to Know About Fall Sessions this Year!
My fall family sessions will be released to my newsletter list this weekend, and to the general public next week, and things are going to look a little different this year! How? Let me count (and tell you) the ways:
#1. More minis!
In lieu of the majority of my fall sessions being hour-long portrait sessions, I am offering two distinct mini session experiences this year:
October Fall Foliage Mini Sessions and November Christmas Tree Mini Sessions.
October Fall Foliage Mini Sessions will take place on October 14 and October 15 at Richardson Park in Ridgefield. These sessions are 20 minutes long, from which you’ll get a gallery to select five final images, with an option to upgrade if you’d like the full gallery. The fee for these sessions is $350 and a deposit of $100 will be required at booking to secure your spot.
November Christmas Tree Mini Sessions will take place on November 11 and November 12 at Bob’s Tree Farm in Bethel. Just like for the Fall Foliage sessions, Christmas Tree minis are 20 minutes long, from which you’ll get a gallery to select five final images, with an option to upgrade if you’d like the full gallery. The fee for these sessions is $350 and a deposit of $100 will be required at booking to secure your spot.
#2. How to prepare
Because mini sessions will be limited and are done back to back at a pre-selected location, it is pretty crucial to be on time. If you’re late - even for a TOTALLY understandable reason - it will eat into your limited session time, just because there are other appointments behind you. I would hate for that to happen, so my best advice is to plan to arrive 10 minutes early so that you and your crew are ready to go for your time slot, and so that we can make the most of our minutes together!
Hair or makeup recommendations? I’ve got ‘em! While you may not want or need them, I have some FANTASTIC local professionals that I highly recommend and anything that makes you feel more confident and camera ready is a good idea.
I will offer rain dates if in the off chance we need to reschedule for weather. However, these dates will be limited due to the short nature of fall/foliage. If you cannot make one of the offered rain dates and need to cancel, not to worry! We can apply your deposit to a future session within the next six months.
#3. Full portrait sessions are still available!
In addition to the October and November mini sessions, I will be offering full, hour-long portrait sessions at the beach during the weekend of September 23 + 24th. These sessions will take place at the lovely Sherwood Island State Park in Westport and are fantastic for those looking for a backdrop of the beach and want a full hour to take ALL the photos and combinations of you and your precious family. These sessions are $450 and you’ll receive a digital image gallery with a minimum of 20 images from the session.
Not a beach family? No problem — I will have a handful of full session openings in October for the family that wants a more full service experience. Please inquire separately about that so I can be sure to slot you in while sessions remain available!
